Admissions Criteria • Academic Achievement (GPA, PCAT, course selection, courseload) • Work Experience (pharmacy experience desired but not required) • Community service, leadership, extracurricular activities • Recommendations • Application Essays • On-campus interview • Understanding of and commitment to the profession of pharmacy • Diversity factors to include: academic background, professional background, race / ethnicity, geographic diversity, first generation college student, challenging or disadvantaged background, and ability in multiple languages

  4. Early Decision Minimum GPA: 3.60 Deadline: September 1 High rate of acceptance

  5. International Applicants • Submit a U.S. evaluation of foreign courses to PharmCAS. • Foreign coursework is NOT included in the PharmCAS GPA – but will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. • Submit a TOEFL test score (if English is not your primary language)

  6. A Complete Application Has: • An application form filed with PharmCAS • All transcripts submitted to PharmCAS • PharmCAS application fee • PCAT score • A supplemental application filed with the College of Pharmacy • 3 recommendations • Application fee • All application materials must be received by the application deadline!

Application Deadlines • Early Admissions Applications: • September 1, 2005 • General Pool Applications: • February 1, 2005 • PCAT test dates for 2004-2005: • November 20, 2004 • January 22, 2005 (last test we’ll accept for 2005 applications) • June 25, 2005 (last test we’ll accept for 2006 early decision applications)

  10. Financial Aid • 90% of college tuition is paid via student loans (subsidized & unsubsidized) • The college awards $250,000 in scholarships each year. Avg. scholarship amount is $1,200 • Avg. debt of 2004 graduates was $82,000 • All US citizens and permanent residents are eligible to receive US sponsored financial aid • Aid is not contingent upon the income of parents. • Call the Health Sciences Financial Aid Office at 612-624-4138 with any further questions.
