  2. Physical Characteristics • Snow Leopards have warm, thick coats of fluffy gray fur. • Spots of dark gray with black rings on their coats. • Snow Leopards grow to about the size of a large dog.

  3. Behavioral Characteristics • Snow leopards use their tails to help them balance. • Snow leopards usually have two to four cubs at a time. • During this time snow leopards teach their cubs how to hunt.

  4. Habitat • Cold mountain areas such as china and India. • They also make their homes in Mongolia • There are even snow leopards on Mt. Everest.

  5. Food Preferences They prefer wild deer. They also prefer wild sheep.

  6. Interesting Facts • About six hundred snow leopards live in zoos around the world. • When baby snow leopards are born they can fit into an adult humans hand.
