Habitat: Snow leopards are spread all over Central Asia .Some of the major counties are China, Tibet, India, Mongolia and Russia. • What Do They Eat?? -Snow leopards is a very powerful hunter it is able to kill species three times its size. They usually eat wild goats that they find one of the most important is the blue sheep. • They also eat smaller animals especially during the summer time . They eat marmots, pikas, hares. • What Hunts Them?? -The snow leopard doesn’t have much to worry about when it comes to being hunted ,their major threat is humans .

How does not have it affect the environment?? -If we don’t have anymore snow leopards there will be an over population in wild goats . • The snow leopard has been added to the endangered list since 1972. • What's being done to help?? -Many national treaties and laws protect this species by making their fur and bones illegal . -A number of governments have also created national parks in order to preserve and protect their habitats.

How did it become endangered?? -Because humans use these animals to trade their fur and bones . • Facts : -Breeding season is usually January-May -A female will give birth to one to four young -The young open their eyes at 7-9 days, eat solid food at 2 months and follow their mother on hunts at three months

  5. Facts: -Most people kill these leopards because of their valuable fur and bones. -An estimated 3,000-10,000 are left in the wild, and about 370 are in captivity. • The winter coat is lighter in color. • They weigh as much as 160 pounds.

  6. I choose this animal because I wanted to learn more about it and why it has become endangered . I think it is very sad that all these animals are becoming extinct and were losing all our animals .
