  2. Goals of the 2005 CAP Program • Magnet to attract other agency resources • Goal oriented • Serve as incentive for NSDI Partners

  3. Overview of Proposed CAP Program Focus areas proposed for FY 2005 • Partnership Incentives • Making Framework Real • Education and Outreach May use grant, cooperative agreement, or contract to achieve the suggested goals

  4. Partnership Incentives • Agreements for data stewardship • Strategic plan development, connections with existing multi-agency plans, ‘business’ processes (Enterprise Architecture), and funding models

  5. Making Framework Real • Implement Framework Web Services: Seek to work with Federal partners to develop and manage relevant CAP funding initiatives for specific themes: • Transportation (roads and transit) • Governmental Units • Geodetic • Encourage implementation of Framework standards

  6. Education and Outreach • NSDI training • Train-the-trainers • Curriculum development • Core curriculum • Multi-media outreach and educational materials

  7. CAP Timeline • CAP Announcement draft complete – January 28 • CAP open for 60 days • Review in May • Announce awards June • Kick-off meeting in June/July
