  1. In a lovely green forest there lived a handsome rabbit. He was a show-off. He was proud of his good looks and nice nose.

  2. Most of all he was proud that he was the fastest runner in the forest. He would boast about it often. The animals were very tired of his boasting.

  3. One day a turtle thought that he would teach the proud rabbit a lesson. So, he called a meeting and told everyone that he would race the rabbit and even defeat him.

  4. The proud rabbit laughed. "Ho, Ho, Ho!" he laughed, "how can a slow creature like you defeat me? I am the fastest!"

  5. All the animals screamed and shouted, "They were glad that the rabbit has lost." "Hurrah for the turtle", they shouted!

  6. After that day the rabbit gave up his pride and never showed off again.
