3. For the media institution that will distribute my magazine, I have chosen Bauer Media. The reason why I have chosen this group is because when I first began looking at professional music magazines some of the top indie/rock genre magazines were all distributed by Bauer media, examples include Q, Mojo and Kerrang, which is the magazine which I based all of my research on. I think that this is the best group to allow my magazine to be distributed with as they are a well known and respected group which will give my magazine a wider recognition and audience. They are also typically linked to indie/rock magazines showing that they have a wide knowledge on where is best to sell my magazine.

5. Another media institution that I could work with to distribute my magazine is IPC media now known as Time Inc UK. IPC is an established institution that publishes and promotes many well know magazines such as NME and UNCUT. The institution engages with half of the UK's adults and there online sites reach over 28 million people round the world. This proves to me that if they were to distribute my magazine then they would be able to ensure that my product got a lot of recognition as they have been working with the well known magazines for years and have got them to where they are today. Also I believe that because they have worked with NME, which is a similar genre to mine, they will be able to advertise my product in similar ways which will attract a wider audience.
