THE PREPOSITION A preposition is a word placed before a Noun or Pronoun to indicate place, direction , source. For example:- in, on, at , under , upon , into , behind
ON It denotes the position of rest on the surface.
UPON Upon denotes motion.
IN It denotes position of rest inside something.
INTO It denotes motion towards the inside of something.
UNDER It denotes something that is below or lower than something else.
BEHIND It denotes something which is at the back of something else.
OVER It denotes something which is at higher level than another thing.
BETWEEN Between is used for two persons, places or things.
AMONG Among is used for more than two persons, places or things.
