  2. Sonics – Company Introduction Licensees • Sonics set out to solve the biggest problem facing the SoC industry: Sky-high design costs. • Sonics has succeeded in dramatically lower design costs by developing highly configurable IP for the on-chip communications networks that enable the design of complex chips. • The world’s leading companies have turned to Sonics for their most demanding SoCs designs, and in turn they have sold more than 500 million chips based on Sonics’ IP. • Sonics investment in its unique IP has resulted in 32 issued U.S. patents and 24 additional applications. • Sonics is the Number 1 global provider of on-chip communications network IP. OEMs

  3. SOLVing your Verification problems… • What is Sonics OCP Library for Verification (SOLV) • Sonics OCP Library for Verification (SOLV) is a package of three components designed to enable debugging, performance tuning and validation of complex intellectual property (IP) cores using OCP interfaces. This suite of tools enables core designers to validate their OCP socket interfaces and maximize performance.

  4. SOLV Components • SOLV is comprised of… • Sonics SVA OCP Checker • Checks OCP2 interfaces for protocol compliance, ensuring traffic legality • Validates any given OCP interface against protocol rules outlined in the OCP specification • Logs OCP activity to a trace file for further analysis and debugging throughout the development phase of a project • OCP Disassembler (OCPDis2) • Allows for the display of OCP connection activity in a convenient reporting format • OCP Performance Analyzer (OCPPerf2) • Processes OCP trace files to measure the performance of OCP socket transfers and burst transactions • Enables measurement and tuning of performance on a single OCP socket

  5. Why SOLV is needed… • SOLV Helps Designers: • Identify and isolate both functional and performance defects in their OCP-based designs • Reduces total verification time and costs while improving overall design quality • Proven Technology • Sonics has delivered the SOLV tools to customers for more than a decade as part of the verification tooling for its OCP-based IP cores.  • The tools are “must-have” for Sonics’ internal use • SOLV has helped Sonics’ customers develop dozens of SoCs that have shipped in cumulative volumes of well over 500 million devices.

  6. SOLV Availability • Sonics offers a variety of pricing tiers for SOLV based on the number of seats required. • SOLV is also freely available (up to 3 concurrent run-time licenses) to all OCP-IP members upon request.

  7. Summary • Sonics is the leader in on-chip communication network IP • Sonics helps customers… • Lower design costs • Decrease SoC design complexity • Get silicon to market faster and first-time-right • Sonics OCP Library for Verification (SOLV) is a unique package of products intended to help designers debug and tune their complex, OCP-based cores. • SOLV is available NOW (and is free for OCP-IP members) Thank you www.sonicsinc.com +1 408 457 2800 info@sonicsinc.com
