  10. Verbs • What word or words do you look at to decide your choice of verb? e.g. The tired farmer ……….. towards his house. The adjective ‘tired’ helps you choose the verb.

  11. Verbs How many different words can you think of for the verb ‘said’? List them on your whiteboard.

  12. Verbs Now use the ‘said’ words in sentences of your own. See how many you can write!
