  8. Symbols & Terms • Collinear (co-linear) means on the same line. • Any two points are collinear. • More than two points may or may not be collinear.

  9. Symbols & Terms • Coplanar (co-planar) means on the same plane. • Points and/or lines may be coplanar. • Any three points are coplanar. • More than three points may or may not be coplanar.

  13. Name three balls that are collinear. Ball A is in the guy’s pocket.Ball C is on the girl’s racket. All other balls are on the tennis court.

  14. Name three balls that arecoplanar but not collinear. Ball A is in the guy’s pocket.Ball C is on the girl’s racket. All other balls are on the tennis court.

  15. Name four balls that are not coplanar. Ball A is in the guy’s pocket.Ball C is on the girl’s tennis racket. All other balls are on the tennis court.

  16. Symbols & Terms • Name each line in three different ways. • Draw . Don’t forget to use arrowheads to show that it extends indefinitely. E m P A R T

  17. Symbols & Terms • Intersecting lines are lines that meet. • Lines intersect at a point. • Intersecting planes are planes that meet. • When planes intersect, a line is formed.
