  2. Netflix Netflix, Inc. is an American provider of on demand Internet.The company was established in 1997 and is headquartered in Los Gatos, California. It started itssubscription-based digital distribution service in 1999, and by 2009 it was offering a collection of 100,000 titles on DVD and had surpassed 10 million subscribers

  3. Amazon Amazon.com, Inc. is an American international multibillion dollar electronic commerce company with headquarters in Seattle, Washington, United States. It is the world's largest online Retailer. Amazon.com started as an online bookstore, but soon diversified, selling DVDs, VHSs, CDs, video and MP3downlo ads/streaming, software, video games, electronics, apparel, furniture, food, toys, and jewelry. Jeff Bezos  incorporated the company (as Cadabra) in July 1994 and the site went online as Amazon.com in 1995.

  4. You Tube YouTube is a video-sharing website, created by three former PayPal employees in February 2005 and owned by Google since late 2006, on which users can upload, view and share videos. The company is based in San Bruno, California, and uses Adobe Flash Video and HTML5 technology to display a wide variety of user- generated video content, including movie clips, TV clips, and music videos, as well as amateur content such as video blogging, short original videos, and educational videos. Most of the content on YouTube has been uploaded by individuals, although media corporations including CBS, the BBC, Vevo, Hulu, and other organizations offer some of their material via the site, as part of the YouTube partnership program.

  5. Google Google Inc. is an American multinational corporation specializing in Internet- related services and products. These include search, cloud computing, software and online advertising technologies. Most of its profits are derived from Ad Words. Google was founded by Larry Page and Sergey Brin while they were Ph.D. students at Stanford University. They incorporated Google as a privately held company on September 4, 1998. Rapid growth since incorporation has triggered a chain of products, acquisitions and partnerships beyond Google's core search engine. It offers online productivity software including email, an office suite, and social networking. 

  6. E-bay eBay Inc. is an American multinational internet consumer-to- consumer corporation, headquartered in San Jose, California. It was founded in 1995, and became a notable success story of the dot-com bubble; it is now a multi-billion dollar business with operations localized in over thirty countries. The company manages eBay.com, an online auction and shopping website in which people and businesses buy and sell a broad variety of goods and services worldwide.

  7. Facebook Facebook is an online social networking service. Its name stems from the colloquial name for the book given to students at the start of the academic year by some American university administrations to help students get to know each other. Facebook was founded in February 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roommates and fellowHarvard University students Eduardo Saverin, Andrew McCollum, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hughes.

  9. Blogs A blog is a discussion or informational site published on the World Wide Web and consisting of discrete entries typically displayed in reverse chronological order. Until 2009 blogs were usually the work of a single individual, occasionally of a small group, and often covered a single subject

Browser Games A browser game is a computer game that is played over the Internet using a web browser.The creation of such games usually involves use of standard web technologies as a frontend and other technologies to provide a backend. Browser games include all video game genres and can be single-player or multiplayer. Browser games are often free- to-play and do not require any client software to be installed apart from a web browser or browser plug-in. In some cases a game may be free, but charge for extra in-game features. Due to the accessibility of browser games, they are often played in more frequent, shorter sessions compared to traditional computer games.

Craigslist Craigslist is a classified advertisements website with sections devoted to jobs, housing, personals, for sale, items wanted, services, community, gigs, résumés, and discussion forums. The number of subscribers and postings grew rapidly. There was no moderation and Newmark was surprised when people started using the mailing list for non-event postings. People trying to get technical positions filled found that the list was a good way to reach people with the skills they were looking for. This led to the addition of a category for "jobs". User demand for more categories caused the list of categories to grow.
