    12. USE This truck is used at house fires, grass fires where the conditions are dry for off road travel, mutual aid calls. After 6 pm this truck rolls first on all structure fires and to be backed up by 2411

    85. Procedures for assisting on the Fire Ground

    86. Duties Stay with apparatus Assist Driver operator with what he asks to you to do. Pull hose Assist with tools, and equipment Help firefighters with Donning and Doffing SCBA’S

    87. Duties You may be asked to help the IC Assist with accountability Be a liaison

    88. Duties During your first 3 months your are to do no firefighting. External or Internal. Only till you have completed the required training in each section of the recruit training program. You can do external after the first section and Internal after you probation is up. You are to assist with equipment and drivers of apparatus.

    89. Scene Safety Make sure you stay at the apparatus. Listen to the driver operator for instructions. Work safely. Keep your eyes open and watch for unsafe conditions at all times. When in roadways be mindful of on coming traffic.

    90. Scene Safety If requested to leave the truck to bring a tool to the fire ground, be sure to have the proper PPE on for that situation before you enter the HOT ZONE. Again as you enter the HOT ZONE be sure to try to identify any hazard areas as you make your way in and be careful. Be sure to report to Accountability when going in and out of the hazard area

    91. Scene Safety NO FREELANCING Only do what is asked of you. Don’t work on what you think needs to be done. Freelancing leads to people getting hurt.
