Describe the environmental effects of renewable energy resources. Some students should be able to: Evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of different energy resources and make a judgment on how we should power the UK. Outcomes

  5. How certain can we be? Each of these lines represents a computer climate model for the next century. The grey area contains the predictions for several climate models. All predict a warming, but there is a range of 5ºC between different models.

Making acid rain Add a few drops of indicator to distilled water (The matches give off CO2 and SO2) Burn some matches in a jar and put the lid on When the matches have burnt out add the indicator/water mix. It will turn yellow if acid if the SO2 dissolves into the water to make H2SO4 (Sulphuric acid) Acid Rain
