  2. Monday may 21st English 10 B • Writing workshop: Theme developed through symbolism ( or literary element of choice ) • Reminders: two vocabulary quizzes on Friday so all words have been presented. • Vocabulary Unit Test is part of Exam Grade and will be on Friday June 1st

  3. Tuesday may 22nd • Writing workshop continued…

  4. Wednesday May 23 • Lord of the Flies Essay Due • Free Reading groups begin book, set a reading schedule, and consider how to present Literature circle Book Talk on June 1st ( Journal responses after each chapter ( read at least 20 pages a day)~ could just present journal thoughts ) • Review game ZONK for Vocabulary on Thursday 23 & 24?

  5. The BOOK TALK PLAN • May 23 books selected and begin reading: • Read minimum of 20 pages section a day: • 1. Brief summary of each section or chapter as you read: • 2. Comment reaction response • 3. Group discusses after each written response • Wed #1 response • Thursday #2 response • Friday #3 response • No School Monday • Tuesday May 29~Check progress on Tuesday #4 & 5 responses • Wednesday HW #6 response ( whole class time is groups creating review questions for exam ) • Thursday BOOK TALK SHARE!!!  • FRIDAY June 1st: review games/questions for exam/ each group leads their book or story… Collect books…. • MONDAY: EXAM FOR THIRD HOUR 

  9. WEEK 11 May 29- June 1st • Tuesday May 29~ #4 & 5 summaries, responses, discussions • Wednesday is create review games or questions… • BOOK SHARE ON THURSDAY • Vocabulary Exam Friday • Review for other

Schedule • Tuesday May 29: Work on book presentations • Wednesday May 30: Groups create review for exam for Friday • Thursday May 31: Book share turn in ~ summaries and responses • Review for vocabulary exam on Friday • Friday June 1: Vocabulary exam & review with games & questions created on Wednesday over literature from MP. • June 4th Final Exam: Third hour Monday 

Wednesday may 30 • Groups prepare for review day: STUDENT CREATED REVIEW • Break into groups and assign each piece of literature read: • A. ) each group creates questions • B.) provides answers for questions & cite pages if possible • C.) create a game for student lead review on Friday • Poe’s Philosophy, Fahrenheit 451, Lord of the Flies, Harrison Bergeron( Vonnegut), Searching for Summer, No Witchcraft for Sale, One Thousand Dollars, The Son from America, A sound of Thunder • (Bradbury), There Will Come Soft Rains ( Bradbury)

  13. Friday JUNE 1st • Collect all books!!!  • Student Lead Review for exam all hour • MONDAY IS 3rd HOUR EXAM  • Bring pencils any books not turned in????

  14. WEEK 12 June 4th-6 • Monday EXAM for 3rd Hour • STAY IN ROOM the WHOLE TIME !!!!  • Students ???? Bring movie for tomorrow….Snack

  15. TUESDAY JUNE 5th • LAST DAY FOR 10 B ENGLISH  • MOVIE clean room… 
