The R9 Hall preparations are advancing with various developments underway as of August 15, 2012. The FC outrigger frame test assembly is ongoing, and scaffolding has been erected for access to the FC assembly. Installation of the cable tray for FC services is in progress, and the compressor cooling water manifold is under review. MICE-Net is now operational with hardwired connections. Storage cages have been set up, providing a safe environment for delicate items, while racking will be added to the larger cage. The external positioning of the water chiller awaits approval, and a power supply/control rack is expected next week.

Progress • FC outrigger frame test assembly • Scaffolding to access FC assembled, more parts required • Cable tray for FC services being installed • Compressor cooling water manifold being looked into. • MICE-Net operational in the R9 hall – hardwired connection • Storage cages have been assembled – delicate items have been stored in the smaller of the two. • Racking will be installed into the larger cage • Water chiller will be positioned outside – approval being sought – location drawing be produced. • Power supply and control rack will arrive next week • Investigate getting the compressors into the hall • Work benches are in R9, desks will be sought and put onto the East wall.
