ACCREDITATION • Provider and Employer • DOE Registered as a FET College – only Provider for full qualification/s • FP&M ETQA Accredited • Train as per scope of accreditation • Provider and employer partnerships required for completion of program

SERVICES BY TRAINING PROVIDER

LEARNERSHIPS

REGISTRATION RESTRICTIONS • A Learner/s cannot be registered on more than ONE Learnership against the same Qualification/-title; • For the purposes of horizontal progression of learner/s, learner/s must be registered against the core or electives of the qualification, via the skills programme route.

DURATION • All Learnership programmes must be completed within 12 months from the enrolment/registration of the learner/s; • All Learnership programmes will be conducted for a period of not less than eight (8) months, except in the case of RPL and/or exemption;

EXTENSION OF TIME • Any provider not able to complete a Learnership programme within the 12 month period, must request an extension in writing from the ETQA • Request must be made at least 1 month before end date of program • Extension will not exceed 3 months

DROPOUT AND REPLACEMENTS • DROPOUT LEARNERS • Agreements must be cancelled, in writing, within 14 days of learner dropping out • REPLACEMENTS • A learner may only be replaced within 3 months of the program starting

SETA LEARNERSHIP GRANTS • The Grant is valid for 3 months from 01/01/2012 • Failure to register a learnership agreement in the 3 months means that the grant expires. • This grant applies to FP&M ETQA quality assured learnerships

SKILLS PROGRAMS

REGISTRATION RESTRICTIONS • A Learner/s cannot be registered on more than ONE learning programme at the same time; • Applies to programs QA by the FP&M ETQA

Duration • The notional hours specified as per the credits of the clustered unit standards but:- • Must not be completed in less than 66% of the notional hours stipulated and; • Must not exceed 150% of the notional hours stipulated; • No extensions will be granted for Skills Programmes

DROPOUT AND REPLACEMENTS • DROPOUT LEARNERS • Agreements must be cancelled, in writing, within 14 days of learner dropping out for SETA funded learner • REPLACEMENTS • No replacements allowed

SETA SKILLS PROGRAM GRANTS • The Grant is valid for 3 months from issue • Failure to register a learner in the 3 months means that the grant expires • This grant applies to FP&M ETQA quality assured programs

APPRENTICESHIP

DELIVERY RESTRICTIONS • The trade entry criteria/requirements will determine if an employer may or may not indenture an apprentice

TYPES OF DELIVERY • Time Based • Approx 2 – 4yrs • Competency Based • Only applicable to ex MAPPP SETA apprentice program. • Section 28

SETA APPRENTICESHIP GRANTS • The Grant is valid for 3 months from 01/01/2012 • Failure to indenture an apprentice in the 3 months means that the grant expires • Grants may be used for any registered trade
