  2. Drug Name and Street Names • The Drug that I am Presenting is Alcohol!!! • This drug doesn't really have a street name besides Alcohol!

  3. Common Abusers… Age, Class, Gender, Location, Etc. • This Drug is really dangerous, because you can get in recks and you can get abuse by your self or by others. Sometimes you could be at a party and others will get drunk as well as you, and you could possibly get Raped, or Hurt in anyway. • So please don’t ever do drugs!!

  4. Common Abusers … Age • AGE: In 2009, 51.9% of Americans age 12 and older had used alcohol at least once in the 30 days prior to being surveyed. • In the 12-17 age range, 14.7% had consumed at least one drink in the 30 days prior to being surveyed. • And now it seems like everybody does but really if you drank then it could mess up your life and your career of what you want to be and a lot of people get caught dranking Alcohol while driving and that’s where there life begins “In Jail”.

Common Abusers … Class • CLASS: In 2010 more 8th,9th, 10th,11th,and 12thGraders are Drinking Alcohol these days. • They don’t don’t know why they are drinking so much, but they think getting with their friends are the most part of it!! • If a friend wants you to try Alcohol then don’t listen cause they are just wanting you to get in trouble and what kind of friends are those.

Common Abusers … Gender • GENDER: Everybody is doing it, really there is no one who is really drinking it more then others because boys and girls or Drinking Alcohol! • They could be colored or white, or they could be even British or German, or even Spanish, or Austrian and more, and they can also be poor or rich people that is Drinking Alcohol!!

  7. Common Abusers …Location • LOCATION: People drinking alcohol is all over the place on earth, its like you can be any where and you see people drinking.

Common Abusers … Effects • EFFECTS: Intoxication can impair brain function and motor skills; heavy use can increase risk of certain cancers, stroke, and liver disease, and really carving for Alcohol. • Its a pattern of drinking that results in harm to one's health, personal relationships, or bulling.

  9. Long Term Effects • Unintentional Injuries such as car crashes, falls, burns, drowning. • Intentional injuries- firearm injuries, sexual assault. • Alcohol Poisoning • high blood pressure, stroke, and other heart related diseases. • Liver Diseases

  10. Long Term Effects • Nerve Damage • Sexual Damage • Brain Damage • Cancer of the mouth and throat • Inflammation of stomach walls

  11. Short Terms Effects • Feeling of warmth • Flushed skin • Impaired judgment • Lack of coordination • Lack of speech • Memory and comprehension loss

  12. Short Terms Effects • Heavy drinking usually results in a ”Hangover” • Headache • Nausea • Anxiety • Weakness • Shakiness • And sometimes Vomiting

  14. History Of The Drug • Alcohol is found in beer, wine, and liquor. • Alcohol is produced by yeast, sugars, and starches. • It is a central nervous system that is rapidly absorbed from the stomach and small intestine into the bloodstream.
