Strategic Plan 2007-2015 Mission: To support sustainable development of public health in Mongolia through pooling the skills of professionals and strengthening multisectoral collaboration in order to protect and promote health of the population. Vision: To provide a leadership ensuring the “Healthy Nation – Heart of Development” in Mongolia through integrating capacity of public health professionals and evolving into an institution of international competence by 2010.

  3. Strategic Plan 2007-2015 Goal 1: Mongolian health policies and laws are based on evidence, are implemented and regulatory authorities are held accountable to fulfill their responsibilities Objective 1.1: To participate actively and encourage community involvement in development, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based public health policies and programs

  4. Strategic Plan 2007-2015 Goal 2: Reorientation of Mongolian health sector towards a public health focus is supported by professionals that have public health knowledge and skills Objective 2.1: To continuously strengthen the public health knowledge, skills and capacity of professionals in the Mongolian health sector

  5. Strategic Plan 2007-2015 Goal 3: Mongolians have increased knowledge of public health issues affecting them, existing laws, regulations, ways to reduce health risks etc Objective 3.1: To contribute to improvement of health promotion among public

  6. Strategic Plan 2007-2015 Goal 4: Organizations from different sectors work together to address issues of pub Objective 4.1: To strengthen multisectoral collaboration in order to protect and promote the health of the Mongolian people

  7. Strategic Plan 2007-2015 Goal 5: MPHPA has strong international partners and linkages to assist growth and development of public health agenda Objective 5.1: To develop international linkages in order to protect and promote the health of the Mongolian people

Current Programs and Activities • Salzburg Medical Seminars International, OSI New York (2004-2006), 2004-present, American Austrian Foundation (2007-present) • Development of Guideline on Drug Substitution (Harm Reduction), City Health Department, Global Gund (Jan, 2010) • Proposal Development, Consultancy Service to the design of a long-term Community Health, Safety & Security Program framework and implementation plan (Jan-Feb, 2010) • Proposal Development, MCA, Non-communicable diseases (Jan 2010)
