  2. Lesson Aim • To explore a Graphics software programme (Adobe Fireworks). Bitmap Images Lesson Outcomes Good – To be able to create a top trumps card using Adobe Fireworks. Great – Understand how and why we use vector tools. Fantastic – Will take into consideration a specific target audience when creating their top trumps card. What is a bitmapped image? An image made of many tiny pixels. Advantage: Each individual pixel can be changed, which makes very detailed editing possible. Disadvantage: They have a large file size because information has to be stored about every pixel.

An image composed of individual objects. Advantage: Vector images can be scaled up or down with no loss of quality. Disadvantage: They don't look as realistic as bitmap graphics
