  1. Week of 11/11/13 Happy November! • NEWS • Parent teacher conferences are this Thursday from 4-8 and Friday from 9-1. 2. Library Assignment for the week of 10/21/13 • Due by: Wednesday, November 6th, 2013 • On Wednesday, November 6th, we will be having a class book club! This will be a chance for your child to show off the book they checked out and have some fun snacks! • In Science we have been learning about natural selection. For our book club, we will be discussing how different animals adapt to survive. • All you need to do is, once again, have your child check out a non-fiction book about an animal. They will need to bring this animal book to school on November 6th so they can participate in our discussion. They can even bring the same book they brought before if you want to keep it for a while, just don’t forget to renew it before it’s due! • IMPORTANT: If your child does not bring a book, they will not be able to participate in our club meeting! Please don’t forget; I don’t want anyone to feel left out! • There are many Toledo libraries. The closest branch to Summit Academy is Toledo Heights, 423 Shasta Drive. It is just a few blocks from the school, so it will be easy to make a quick stop after you pick your child up from school. Here are their hours of operation: • Monday and Tuesday: 9 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. • Wednesday – Friday: 9 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. • If these hours don’t work for you there are plenty of libraries in Toledo with weekend hours. Go to toledolibrary.org for a full listing, or call 419-259-5200. • Thank you and happy book hunting! 
