A Bill to be able to miss 3 sick days and still be finals exempt BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: Section 1: Students should be allowed to 3 sick days to miss and still be considered finals exempt. Section 2: No funding. Section 3:The school board and high school faculty will enforce this. Section 4: All school districts will enforce this in the 2013-2014 school year. Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void Introduced By: Megan Neace

  3. A Bill to Graduate High School Section 1: Everyone will be required to graduate High School. You will not have the choice of dropping out any longer, but you may still have the choice of graduating early. Section 2: No funding is needed. Section 3: The United States Government will enforce this bill. Section 4: This will take course in all high schools starting the 2014-2015 school year.   4. A resolution regarding no seminar Whereas: Seminar is a waste of students and teachers time. Whereas: Students that go to seminar don’t do any work. Whereas: It’s boring and students should be able to leave before or during seminar. Therefore: Be it resolved by this student congress here assembled that seminar should be cut. A Resolution Regarding: Track and Field Whereas: Track and field members have to travel to the middle school any time they have a practice; and Whereas: It is inconvenient for the members to have to drive or get a ride to the middle school; and Whereas: The members are losing time, not much, but they are losing time to spend practicing for meets; Therefore: Be it resolved by this Student Congress here assembled that: there be a track and field/football stadium built at the high school. A Resolution on Three Day Weekends Whereas- because we need a three day weekend Whereas- custodians would have more time to clean Whereas- more time for the people that work have an extra day to rest. Therefore- be it resolved by this student congress there are hold that we have three day weekends. Instructed by Miklala Wright

A resolution regarding Animal care Whereas: Animals are being neglected; and Whereas: The lack of time owners have for animals is putting animals and humans in danger; and Whereas: These potential danger is causing people to rethink having animals. Therefore: be it resolved by this student congress here assembled that: All pets should be fed and played with three to four times a day. Introduced by: Katie Grass

A Bill to Have All Students With Personal Laptops Be It enacted by the Student Congress here assembled that: Section 1: All students in the state of Missouri will be given a laptop specifically for school purposes. Starting at grade 7 they will be provided with a laptop for the rest of their schooling career, until graduation of high school. Also these laptops will be replacing the desk top computers that are already provided. There would be no need for computer labs, so more class rooms. Section 2: Cost will be 1 million dollars in taxing of lemonade. Section 3:The United States Department of Education will enforce this bill. Section 4: All school districts will switch computers by the 2013-2014 school year. Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are here by declared null & void.   9. A bill to take a yearly trip to Walt Disney World. Be it enacted by the student congress here assembled that: Section 1: One week out of one chosen moth once a year will be spent at Walt Disney World. This trip will only be available to high school student. Section 2: Fundraising, sponsors, and anything left needed to be paid for is the students responsibility. Section 3: School board. Section 4: This will start by the 2013-2014 school year. The trip’s date will be decided by the school board. Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are herby declared null and void.   10. A bill to have a Student Store Be it enacted by the student congress here assembled that: Section 1- the school will have a indoor student store for the students and everyone who comes. This store can raise money for the school really well. Section 2- funding needed Section 3-the united states department of education will enforce that bill.   11. A Bill To: Build an Auditorium on the High School Campus BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1: We should build an auditorium on the high school campus. It would take care of always having to get transportation during school, and transporting items from the high school. Section 2: The money would come from donations, school funds, and fundraisers. SECTION 3: The School Board would enforce this law. SECTION 4: Our school will start building this summer. SECTION 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.   12. A Resolution regarding to extend school lunch hour. Whereas: Carthage high school lunch. Whereas: students and faculty don’t have to rush to eat there food. And it would reduce amount of grumpy people. Whereas: everyone is rude cause they’re hungry. Therefore: Be it resolved by this student congress here assembled that lunch is extended to 40 minutes long Introduced By: Tanner Shankles

Whereas: The school would benefit from a Starbucks in the school; and Whereas: Putting a Starbucks in it would make up that money in 3 months; and Whereas: The students would be awake for classes. Therefore: Be it resolved by this student congress here assembled that the Carthage high school put a Starbucks in the school. Introduced by Breezy Mohr

  14. A Bill To Require An Etiquette Class Be it enacted by the student congress here assembled that: Section 1: All students must have an etiquette in order to graduate. This will allow the students to learn how to properly eat at a dinner table and appropriate manners. All schools will provide this class to promote high-quality social behaviors and interactions. Section 2: The cost to pay teacher who have a college degree on etiquette for every high school district in Missouri. Missouri High schools: 569 times the average salary ($45,321) will be $25,787,649. Section 3: The United States Department of Education will enforce this bill. Section 4: All high schools in Missouri will provide this class for the 2013-2014 school year. Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.   15. A Bill to: Abolish Fruit-cocktail Be it enacted by the student congress here assembled that: Section 1: the fruit cocktail should be abolished for many reasons. One reason it should be destroyed is because it often makes people sick. Therefore if we take it off the menu people wouldn’t miss as much school. This will apply to every district. Section 2: No funding Section 3: the department of health will enforce this bill. Section 4: All districts will switch over to having no fruit cocktail 2013-2014. A Resolution regarding football field at CHS Whereas: Carthage High school make a turf field at the high school: and Whereas: the football players & coaches wouldn’t have to rush to the junior high. It would also reduce some of the traffic in the parking lot. Whereas: It would help with the football players and the field at the Junior High isn't that good. A Resolution Regarding: The Dress Code Where as: It is hard to find dresses that are past the knee and Where as: Longer dresses are more expensive and some people can not afford them and Where as: We would have more variety of clothes to wear.   18. A Bill to make Teachers give us free food. Be it enacted by the student Congress here assembled that. Section 1: Teachers should be able to reward us for doing us a good job. So we can try even harder at School. This will apply in every school district. School day will be the same. A Resolution Regarding in-school boxing teams Whereas boxing teams are still around in many schools across the country and Whereas You’re just as likely to get hurt in boxing as you are in sports like football or wrestling and Whereas it is a great way to influence kids to stay in shape because a lot of kids really like to box and learn self-defense Therefore: Be it resolved by this student congress here assembled that we allow there to be an in-school boxing team for any student to be in.   20. A Resolution regarding abolishing school. Where as: school is boring Where as: home work sucks and is no fun. Where as: kids rather be working than come to school. A Bill to Start a Fishing Team BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: Section 1: Start a High School Fishing team on May 23 once school has ended, will have practice, on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday . Section 2: Funding to pay for gas for buses taking team around. Section 3: Carthage High School will enforce this bill. Section 4: Carthage High School will Start this on May 23 of the school year 2013-2014. A Resolution regarding sky diving in school Whereas: sky diving is a world renowned sport and Whereas: the opportunity it would present to the student body would be tremendous, not only opening there world to new possibilities it would also keep them loose and more focused and Whereas: it would also make school more appealing to slackers and reduce the drop out rate. Therefore: be it resolved by this student congress here assembled that: skydiving be a school sponsored activity. Introduced by Payton Sifferman/Aleshire

  23. A Bill to Require Sports Conditioning For All Athletes Section 1: Students who are involved in any school sport will automatically be required to be enrolled in a sports conditioning class. This will apply to every school that offers the class in Missouri. This class would still give the same amount of credits as students willingly taking this class every year would receive. Section 2: No funding is needed. Section 3: The schools of Missouri will enforce this bill. Section 4: All school districts with this class will switch over to requiring sports conditioning for all athletes by the 2013-2014 school year. Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void. Introduced by Brittany Webb

A BILL TO GO ON A SCHOOL TRIP ACCORDING TO THE HIGHEST VOTE BE IT ENACTED BY THE STUDENT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: Section 1: There will be a vote on where you would like to go and that means anywhere and the highest vote is where everybody who want to go will go on the trip to that place. Section 2: There will need to be funding we could do fundraisers and there can be some sponsors also. Section 3: The United States Department of Education will enforce this bill. Section 4: All school districts will start taking trips every year by the 2014-2015 school year. Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are here by declared null and void. A Bill that states that all students will get paid $20.00 for each A that they make on there end of semester report card Section 1:Students will only get paid if they make an A and that amount will be $20.00 per A. • B’s, C’s, and D’s will not get money only students will get paid. Section 2: Sponsors and Fundraisers will fund for this Bill Section 3: The United States Department of Education will enforce this Bill Section 4: all school will start paying $20.00 per A to each student in the start of the 2013 School year Section 5: All laws in conflict with this legislation are hereby declared null and void.
