  2. FAMILY FUN DAY PARADE FEBRUARY 20, 2009 The EARCP participated in the Family Fun Day organized by the Philippine Embassy in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The EARCP was tasked to man the First Aid Tent and has the chance to campaign for its NO SMOKING CAMPAIGN. The EARCP members participated in the parade, games and social events.

  3. ASTHMA EDUCATION DAY APRIL 11, 2009 The EARCP’s 1st educational event “The Asthma Education Day” was held at the Al Ain Hospital Auditorium organized by EARCP’s Committee on Education Co-chaired by Stephanie Woodworth & Melanie Tiu of Tawam Hospital. This seminar & workshop consists of lectures in the morning and a mini workshop in the afternoon. This is a well-attended event.

  4. MEET & GREET PHILIPPINE PRESIDENT GLORIA ARROYO APRIL 12, 2009 Some EARCP officers ( Noel, Melanie & Rodel) were invited by the Philippine Embassy to meet and greet Philippine President Gloria Arroyo who was on official visit in Dubai, UAE. The EARCP took advantage of the situation and handed to the president its Petition Letter to the President for the immediate passage of the RT Bill pending in House of Representative and Senate.

  5. HOUSE BILL NO. 6410 :Philippine Respiratory Therapy Act of 2009 JULY 20, 2009 House Bill No. 6410 : Philippine Respiratory Therapy Act of 2009 authored by Congressman MarcelinoTeododro was successfully passed in the 3rd & Final Reading at the lower House of Representatives. The EARCP campaigned hard for the passage of this RT Bill and became a global catalyst for all Filipino Respiratory Therapists worldwide.

  6. EARCP & ARCPP OFFICERSJOINT MEETING AUGUST 1, 2009 Some EARCP & ARCPP Officers met in the Philippines to discuss mutual cooperation in its pursuance of the RT licensure and professionalization of Respiratory Therapy in the Philippines. The EARCP and the ARCPP both agreed to work together for the quick passage of Senate Bill No. 3139 in the Upper House.

  7. ARCPP 1st INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE& 5th RESPIRATORY CONFERENCE AUGUST 19-20, 2009 EARCP Chairman Noel Tiburcio was invited by the ARCPP to be the guest speaker in the ARCPP’s 1st International Conference & 5th Symposium in Manila, Philippines. The RT Bill Campaign “AkoMismo Para Sa RT Bill” was also launched at this time to campaign aggressively for the immediate passage of the RT Bill in the Senate.

  8. EUROPEAN RESPIRATORY SOCIETY19th ERS CONGRESS SEPTEMBER 12-16, 2009 EARCP Chairman Noel Tiburcio and PRO Roger Sansano attended the 19th ERS Congress in Vienna, Austria. While at the congress, they visited the AARC Booth and met AARC officials such as: AARC President Tim Myers, Sam Giordano, Toni Rodriguez, John Hiser, Tom Kallstrom & ICRC President Jerome Sullivan.

  9. 2009 RESPIRATORY CARE WEEKCELEBRATION OCTOBER 25, 2009 In celebration of the Respiratory Care Week, the EARCP held a seminar & workshop titled “In Face of Challenging Respiratory Infection” at the UAE’s Social Club in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. This well-attended educational event featured lectures in the morning and workshop in the afternoon. This is also a charitable event in which the proceeds from the registration fees will be donated to the typhoon victims in the Philippines.

  10. 2009 AARC INTERNATIONAL FELLOWS AWARDEE DECEMBER 5, 2009 EARCP Chairman Noel Tiburcio was recognized as one of the 2009 AARC International Fellow at the 55th AARC Congress in San Antonio, Texas, USA. EARCP Chairman Noel Tiburcio did his 1st week rotation from Nov. 22-28, 2009 in North Carolina and his 2nd week rotation from Nov. 28- Dec. 4, 2010 in Boise, Idaho. EARCP Chairman Noel Tiburcio then proceeded to the 55th AARC Congress in San Antonio, Texas where he completed his international fellowship program.

  11. 2009 ICRC BUSINESS MEETING DECEMBER 7, 2009 The ICRC Business Meeting was held at the Marriott Hotel in San Antonio, Texas, USA where EARCP Chairman Noel Tiburcio reported on the Status of the EARCP in the UAE and the Update of the RT Bill in the Philippines. The six 2009 AARC International Fellows which includes EARCP Chairman Noel Tiburcio from the UAE, Hong Kong, Japan, Nigeria, Belarus and Paraguay were also introduced to the international community of respiratory care and was recognized.

  12. SENATE BILL NO. 3499 :Philippine Respiratory Therapy Act of 2009 DECEMBER 14, 2009 : Senate Bill No. 3499 : Philippine Respiratory Therapy Act of 2009 authored by Senator Edgardo Angara was successfully passed in the 3rd & Final Reading at the Upper House of the Senate of the Philippines. DECEMBER 16, 2009 : The Philippine Respiratory Therapy Act of 2009 was jointly ratified by both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

  13. EARCP 2009CHRISTMAS PARTY DECEMBER 20, 2009 The annual EARCP Christmas Party was held at the Green Mubassara Park, Jebel Hafeet Mountain in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, UAE. The EARCP members participated in games and in other fun-filled activities organized by the EARCP’s Social Committee. What an excellent way to end 2009.
