  2. Confiscated Alcohol • Nearly 200,000 gallons of alcohol was confiscated from smugglers trying to get across the SWEEDISH border. Imagine how much is confiscated here! Instead of just dumping this all down the drain, or letting border patrol drink it all, it can be made into a biogas that has been proven to drive buses and even trains.

  3. Dirty Diapers • Approximately 30,000 tons of diapers will be annually transformed into over 10,000 tons of diesel fuel at jut 50 cents per liter. And one company has found away to convert dirty diapers into a form of diesel. This project has more promise than other garbage-to-diesel plans because “the input will always be consistent.”

Saltwater Burned into Hydrogen and Oxygen • When a scientist tried to use radio waves to kill cancer cells, he found that his radio frequency generator could separate hydrogen and oxygen from saltwater and create a large flame. Experts are saying that his discovery could lead to a steam engine, and a steam turbine, which could be made into a car engine if it is wanted.

  7. Methane Siphoned from Garbage Dumps • The decomposing waste from landfills gives off a lot of methane gas, which can be easily harvested. There is extreme interest in using this as a fuel source because many people don’t like the way methane is removed from landfills, by just burning it all away. Scientists have recently tried to find ways to increase methane production to try to get as much fuel as possible from the landfill.
