  1. Muscular System By: Jasmine Jones

  2. Functions • 1.Body movement due to the contraction of skeletal muscles • 2.Maintence of posture also due to skeletal muscles • 3. Respiration due to movements of the muscles of the thorax • 4.Production of body heat which is necessary for the maintenance of body temperature, as a byproduct of muscle contraction • 5.Commuction such as speaking and writing, which invole skeletal muscles • 6.Constriction of organs and vessels, especially smoother muscles that can move soilds and liquids in the digestive tract and other secretions including urine, from organs • 7.Heart beat caused by the contraction of cardiac muscle that proples blood to all parts of the body

  3. Organs • Heart, tongue ,biceps, triceps ,gluteous, maximus, bone deltoids, smooth, cardiac, skeletal muscles muscles, skin ,stomach, liver, kidney, lungs, and hamstring.

  4. Interacts with • Digestive system and Muscular system work together by having muscles of the jaw masticate food, and then muscles along the esophagus move food from the mouth to the stomach muscles along the intestines move digesting food along and muscles control sphincters that isolate the sections of the digestive system.

  5. How the body works • It pairs so that they can pull in different or opposite directions. The cells that make up muscles contract and then relax back to its original size. Tiny microscopic fibers in these cells compress by sliding past each other like a sliding door being open and shut again.
