Join the Fight Against Invasive Pests: Become a Wasp Watcher!

Love trees? Help protect them from devastating invasive pests like the Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) by becoming a Wasp Watcher! The EAB has caused millions of ash tree deaths in the Midwest, and early detection is crucial for managing its spread. Join us in monitoring harmless Cerceris fumipennis wasps that hunt wood-boring beetles. By adopting a colony, you can help us detect EAB presence. Participate in a fun, family-friendly workshop and learn how to collect beetles from the wasps. For more info, visit www.cerceris.info or contact Claire at Claire.Rutledge@ct.gov.
