ELECTORAL VOTES

Each U.S. state is allocated a specific number of electoral votes based on its population. States with larger populations receive more votes. The candidate who secures at least 270 electoral votes wins the presidency. States can be categorized by their political leanings: dark blue for Obama, red for Romney, pink for states leaning towards Romney, light blue for states leaning towards Obama, and yellow for battleground states. This electoral system shapes the dynamics of presidential campaigns and strategies.
