  1. Warrior Cats Warrior Cats is a Role Playing Game (RPG), you play as a cat called rusty following his journey from house cat to to a wild cat and a member of Thunder Clan. You will have to explore, train and fight your way through an action pact storyline and side missions in order to save the clan and the forest.

  2. Game Concepts • Warrior Cats is a video game inspired by a series of books by Erin Hunter. • The target audience for this video game is teenagers from the ages of 12yrs – 16yrs. • This game will follow a main storyline that follows the events that transpire in the first series of books. • There will be other cats and creatures to interact with and side missions to complete.

  3. Meet Rusty Rusty is a house born cat known to wild cats as a kitty pet. He is a ginger tabby tomcat, whose fur resembles fire when in direct sunlight. • Rusty is the protagonist for this game, you will play through the story mode as him. • As the story progresses Rusty’s name changes as he grows and moves up the clan hierachy. • These names are as follow: • Kitty Pet = Rusty • Apprentice = Firepaw • Warrior = Fireheart • Clan Leader = Firestar

  4. Player Motivation • The player’s goal is to complete the main storyline quests. However, there are various other missions that can be completed. • Quests will appear above the heads of cats that you can interact with are split into 4 categories: • Main Quest icons will progress the games main storyline. • Medicine Quests will be given by the Medicine Cat, they will include finding herbs or other items to help with the health of the clan. • Apprentice Quest icons will involve either hunting or training. • Warrior Quests will involve patrolling, defending territory and training apprentices.

  5. Interaction • You will interact with other cats during your journey. • You will accept quests, buy herbs and learn new skills. • Conversations will be seen in text boxes instead of having talking cats

  6. Map and Navigation • Scent Trails: • Scent trails will help you navigate around the area. • Can be used to help locate prey, locations, other clan cats and avoid threats. • Scent trails will be colour coded and will only be visible for a period of time before fading.
