The TJHS BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) guidelines outline the responsible use of personal technology in the classroom. Devices are to be used exclusively for educational purposes during instructional periods with teacher permission and on the school's secure, filtered Wi-Fi. Students must have a signed TISD Student Handbook form and a permission slip to participate. Recording or posting photos or videos of individuals on campus is prohibited. TISD is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal devices. Ensure to use technology wisely and follow all guidelines.

BYOD EDUCATIONAL USE ONLY • Personal technology devices will be used exclusively for educational activities. • All students must have a signed TISD Student Handbook form (includes the Acceptable Use Policy) on file and a signed permission slip in order to participate in the BYOD Pilot. • Personal technology devices are to be used only during the instructional class period with express permission of the classroom teacher. BYOD • Personal technology devices may not be used to record, transmit or post photos or video of a person or persons on campus. Nor can any images or video recorded at school be transmitted or posted at any time without the express permission of a teacher. • The student will use the district’s secured and CIPA compliant (filtered) wireless network; Use of 3G/4G wireless connections at school is not allowed. NO PICTURES OR VIDEO SCHOOL WIFI ONLY
BYOD • Campus or District personnel cannot provide technical support, troubleshooting, or repair personal electronic devices. Students should have a good working knowledge of how to use their device. • No student shall establish a wireless ad-hoc or peer-to-peer network using his/her personal device while at school. This includes, but is not limited to using a privately owned electronic device as a cabled or wireless hotspot. NO TECH SUPPORT NO HOTSPOTS
BYOD • Personal technology devices are brought to school at the students’ and parents’ own risk. In the event that a personal technology device is lost, stolen or damaged, TISD will not be responsible for any financial or data loss. TISD NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE OR THEFT
