This project focuses on creating a computerized tool using Excel PivotTable for pharmacy managers at VA Puget Sound to efficiently manage daily outpatient prescription verification workload. By assessing, prioritizing, and distributing pending orders, this system ensures timely verification and compliance with VHA Handbook guidelines. The tool uses data from the Pending Outpatient Orders file to categorize and log orders, helping managers track and address potential bottlenecks. Since its implementation in 1996, the system has consistently met order verification targets, improving operational efficiency.
