  1. Evaluation 6-What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

  2. What technologies have i learnt using I have learnt using: • Nikon slr camera • Tripod • Samsung SMX-F50BN camcorder with 65x Zoom • Corel Video Studio Pro X6

  3. Nikon SLR Camera Using the Nikon SLR Camera we was able to take pictures and we ended up shooting our whole media production on this camera as we thought it was better quality then the camcorder which was given to us.

  4. Tripod The picture below shows a tripod that we have used while shooting. This is one of the most important equipment that we have to used when it come to filming because a tripod will help keep the camera steady and makes a project into an actual film. Without the tripod you would be holding cameras with your hand and end up getting shaky scene which you don’t normally see on a actual film. This tripod was very easy to use and easy to carry around.

  5. Samsung SMX-F50BN camcorder with 65x Zoom The picture below shows a Samsung camcorder. This was our first camcorder given by my teacher and we used this camcorder to record our first shoot. We had so many problems with this camcorder. First problem was you couldn’t see the character clearly on the camcorder screen because we were shooting at night time where the camcorder doesn’t have built in light on though we some how managed to film it using our phone torch lights and my bike torch light. After finishing our first shoot using this camera I took it home and transferred them into my laptop to edit. I tried playing them clips on full screen and it wasn’t clear at all so we wasted 1 day shooting using that camcorder. Also I have found out that this camcorder is old which doesn’t have HD Stuff. Another problem was that the battery was dying way too fast as it shouldn’t be so I had to keep switching them off and on again and shoot fast as possible before it dies out again. Therefore the next day we went back to school and  asked our teacher kindly if we could swap our camcorder to a better one unfortunately all better camcorder were taken.

  6. Corel Video Studio Pro X6 To edit all of our footage we used Corel Video Studio Pro X6. We learnt from the very start of the media studies course how to shorten footage and remove parts we do not need as well as great effects and video transitions such as fading in, alter in the lighting, overlapping sequences, avoiding this improved the quality of our film by a significant amount, making it look much less amateur and so nothing distracts the audience from the narrative, as a wobbly camera may remove the focus from the plot.
