  2. WHY ARTHRITIS HAPPENS? Generally people think that they are not overweight and doing exercise daily and have no adverse habits still why they are suffering from knee osteoarthritis. But actually the causes of arthritis are mainly seen as genetically which occurs with the age. Also this can be hereditary too causing degeneration of the bones.

  3. Osteoarthritis is of two types: 1.Degenerative or primary arthritis- its actual cause is not known. It can be due to wear and tear of the bone and surrounding structures. 2.Secondary arthritis- main causes of this are trauma from injury, obesity, diseases to the joints or surrounding cartilages. Apart from this now a days there are several factors that increase the risk of arthritis at very early age like: • Weight, it causes the increase in pressure on knee with every pound weight gain knee gain 2-3 pound extra. • Gender, Women at older ages are more prone to develop arthritis than men. • Work, career that causes repeated stress to the knee joint can also be a major factor increasing risk knee osteoarthritis. • Knee injury, due to any trauma or accident bony structure gets damage. • Other diseases like Gout, Diabetes and Rheumatoid arthritis can also cause severe knee arthritis.

Symptoms of osteoarthritis may be: • Pain during your activity like walking, stepping up stairs, getting in and out of chair or car and gets relieved to an extent during rest. • Joints felt warmer. • Knee stiffness mainly when sitting for a while or in morning. • Crackling or creaking sound can be heard during movement.
