  1. VL Inc. Revolutionizing Mobile Communications PocketGphone SIP VoIP client for PocketPC/WinCE Voice is the most ubiquitous form of human communication. Voice calling, voice chat and voice messaging can be added to networked PocketPC/WinCE solutions as either a stand-alone voice application, or as a voice complement to data applications by the inclusion of PocketGphone from VL Inc. Current wireless network growth is coming from networks based on the 802.11/Wi-Fi standard, which is unregulated and can be quickly deployed in a very cost effective manner. Wi-Fi today has a data rate of 11 mbps, enabling a wide array of enterprise and consumer applications and services including VoIP. PocketGphone brings full duplex SIP compliant VoIP to resource-constrained, IP based mobile consumer electronics devices based on PocketPC/WinCE. PocketGphone has very low software latency, requires minimal bandwidth and supports NAT environments.

  2. VL Inc. Revolutionizing Mobile Communications SIP Mobile VoIP Client“Pocket Gphone” What is PocketGphone? PocketGphone is a VoIP client that adheres to the Session Initiated Protocol (“SIP”) standard with Peer to Peer (“P2P”) topology. SIP enables network managers to connect the VoIP world to the Public Switch Telephone Network (“PSTN”) through SIP/PSTN gateways. P2P enables client to client communications. PocketGphone has been optimized for the resource constraints of PocketPC devices and is based on the proprietary Movice engine. The Movice engine has a footprint of just 40kb, requires just 32kbps bandwidth and adds just 50 ms software latency while enabling full duplex voice communication. Gphone and PocketGphone have been downloaded by more than 5 million users in the past two years. There are currently 170,000 active users of the Gphone products. • Movice Engine • Gphone solutions are based on VL Inc’s propriety Movice engine. Movice is focused on enabling high quality full duplex VoIP on resource constrained devices. • 1. Less CPU power needed. • 2. Small Footprint (just 40k bytes) • 3. Low software latency (less than 50 ms) with high quality full duplex voice communication • Problems with other VoIP solutions: • Large memory footprint • High latency making the experience worse than cellular • High CPU and power needs • Work on one device platform only • Can’t work in NAT environments • The Movice engine has been designed from the ground up for IP based mobile consumer electronics devices.
