In its second year, NYU MRSEC engaged nearly 500 K-12 students from NYC schools through hands-on science demonstrations as part of the Scientific Frontiers Program. Targeted modules were developed for 70 ninth graders at the Urban Assembly Institute for Math and Science for Young Women, focusing on underrepresented girls. Additionally, over 80 students at Don Pedro Albizu Campos Elementary received science demonstrations in Spanish. The program also included BioBus workshops for teachers and students, and co-sponsored condensed matter meetings, fostering widespread scientific curiosity.
