  4. The Price is Right If you apply now, the following prices will remain the same for your project over a 20 year contract. Price for ground-mounted microFIT projects dropped by 20% on July 2nd, 2010. Expect similar price drops soon.

  5. Engineering Analysis SolPowered conducts a detailed structural engineering analysis of your building. We create custom drawings outlining the racking and electrical requirements of your project.

  6. The Application Process Complete SolPowered’s FIT Applicant Details form so we can complete your Pre-FIT form easily and submit to the LDC. We submit a FIT Application package both online and by mail. It includes an application fee and several forms which we will complete for you. + Small SolPowered Fee 500.00 to the OPA (Refunded later)

  7. OPA Contract Offer The OPA reviews our application and sends an Official FIT Contract Offer. We will review the terms of the contract with you.

  8. Acceptance Package We have 10 days to submit a Contract Acceptance package to the OPA. This includes a few forms which we will complete. Requires a security payment which is refunded upon operation. 50.00 per kW

  9. CIA Package We must submit a Connection Impact Assessment (CIA) package to the LDC. This includes the forms on the following pages. Requires a CIA fee which is not refunded. 3,000.00 + HST 2,850.00 + HST To be determined

  11. Cost Agreement The LDC responds with an Official CIA and a Connection Cost Estimate. This is the estimated cost of connecting the project.Upon operation, you will be refunded/charged accordingly. Varies greatly

  12. Request to Proceed We may now send a Request for Notice to Proceed package to the OPA. Includes the Domestic Content Plan and Financing Plan, which we will create for you.

  13. Domestic Content Plan 60% Ontario-sourced content required

  14. Municipal Permit We apply for and obtain a municipal permit for your project. We are now ready to install the project.

  15. Notice to Proceed The OPA issues an official Notice to Proceed. Requires a second security payment which is refunded upon operation. 25.00 per kW Now, we’re ready for operation!

  16. Installation We ensure that you are an active stakeholder in the installation. System commissioning by SolPowered. During or after installation, we apply for an electrical safety inspection from the ESA, who give us authorization to connect.

  17. Operation Upon commercial operation… Both security payments are refunded Differences from Connection Cost Estimate are credited/payable to you SolPowered submits a final project report Payments from the LDC start according to your regular billing cycle Your Revenues

  23. Energy Monitoring Collaborate with the provider on dashboard setup and configuration. Receive remote assistance during your setup. System also provides alarm response management and solution dispatching to keep your system safely operating.
