Our Mission: • The Titusville Academy (TTA) is a coeducational school founded to serve the needs of students with learning and behavior difficulties.  TTA's primary objective is to return students to their respective schools within two or three years by providing them with comprehensive academic programs and on-going social and emotional support services. • TTA's mission is to provide each student with the optimum opportunity to enhance their academic abilities as well as integrating the social and emotional development of each student into the total educational program.

  3. About Me: • This is my second year at The Titusville Academy • I have a Masters and Certificate in Special Education from Holy Family University • I have a Bachelors of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh

  4. TTA Norms • We take pride in TTA • Education is Sacred • No one has the right to hurt another person • We respect our classmates and our school • We will never behave in a manner that will discredit ourselves or TTA

Emotional and Behavioral Supports • Positive Reinforcement through Token Economy • Points and Levels system • Weekly GGI- Guided Group Intervention • Weekly counseling appointment- also available on as needed basis • Paraprofessionals and Crisis Intervention specialists We’ve got all the Pieces!

  6. Academic Supports • Differentiated Instruction • Low teacher to student ratios • Paraprofessional and Teacher’s Aides • Assistive Technology- when applies • Speech Therapist- when applies

Schedule: 8:00-8:15- Arrival 8:15-8:45- Morning Meeting/Social Skills 8:45-9:45- Math 9:45-10:00- Snack 10:00-11:00- Reading 11:00-12:00- Science/Social Studies 12:00-12:30- Lunch 12:30-1:30- Gym/Art 1:30-2:10- Activity Period/Health 2:10-2:30- Force Fields/Dismissal * Counseling and Speech times will vary by student

  8. Homework Tuesday-Math Monday- Current Events Wednesday- Reading Friday- Enjoy the Weekend! Thursday- Science

  9. Correspondence • A daily journal will be sent home with a brief description of your child’s day. Please be sure to read and sign under each entry. Inside this book we will staple weekly point sheets, permission slips and any other important information for your viewing.
