  4. Explain why Adam is an important prophet? • He was the first man and prophet • He disobeyed Allah and was banished from paradise

Explain why Abraham is an important prophet. • He was upset with Idolatry in Ur • He moved to Egypt, married Haggar and had a son, Ishmael (family tree) • Allah told him to leave his son and wife in the hot desert. Water sprang up and saved them. • Abraham rebuilt the ka-bah and prayer to Allah

  7. Explain why Muhammad is the last prophet. • Angel Gabriel appeared to him • He rejected idolatry • He supported monotheism • Founded Islam in 622 C.E. in Mecca

  8. What is the Hadith? • Muhammad’s words, action, statements about other religious practices • Muslims use it to interpret the teaching found in the Qur’an • Stories of what he was like
