  2. Objectives Biology is the study of living organisms. It seems that this subject is so big that there are a lot of facts for students to memorize. However, studying biology is not as difficult as many students think. To learn about the inside of the body and how different parts work is very exciting! Together with the recent development of information technology, students can become much more actively involve in the learning processes. Therefore, Power Point, Internet and other technology are used in this lecture to produce text, graphics, video and animation to try to make studying the types of blood vessels, the structure of the heart and the like easier and more enjoyable.

  3. 1/ Nowadays in Hong Kong, to avoid virus transmission, any experiment requiring the use of human blood cannot be performed in school laboratory. Therefore, compatibility of any two blood types cannot be tested in real time. This academic multimedia package allows this dangerous experiment : Human Blood Group Experiment, to be simulated in a classroom or in a laboratory, thus enhancing in-class activities and capturing student attention. 2/ The heart beat is demonstrated in the Heart Video so as to show the size of the real human beat and the ‘lub’ and ‘dup’ sounds clearly. 3/ Biological key words’ pronunciation are recorded. 4/ The content page allows teachers to focus on process, collaborative writing. Use these to emphasize what students need to learn and thus can be used to evaluate the teaching or learning processes. 6/ Independent learning is facilitated when students connect their personal computers to the Internet and using this package. This powerpoint can serve as self-review after lesson. 7/ Use the linked homepage to monitor education related listservs on the Internet. This keeps teachers and students in touch with the current trends. Provide a channel for students asking question independently and at home. 8/ Homework is given at the end of the unit.
