Eighth Grade Promotion Criteria • Pass 10 of 14 classes. • Pass the U.S. Constitution test. • You have 4 opportunities to pass. • If you are in danger of failing and/or being retained: • Attend Think Together • Attend Special Help Sessions, Classes, Tutoring, etc. as offered • Ask for help from your teachers. (Schedules in the next presentation) • Students who are failing the eighth grade will not be allowed to participate in any eighth grade activities.

Seventeenth Street (714) 953-3900 Eligible students have received an application and letters of recommendation forms for their ELA and Math teachers. Letters of recommendation from the ELA and Math teachers are to be turned in WITH THE APPLICATION. Teachers must sign and seal the envelope before returning to the student. The completed application must be returned to the front office by February 10, 2012 by 4 p.m.

  8. What do I need to do to graduate? • Pass the California High School Exit Exam (CAHSEE) • English • Math • Pass all required Classes. • Earn 220 credits.
