Eighth Grade Promotion Criteria • Pass 9 of 12 classes. • Pass the U.S.Constitution test. . • If you are in danger of failing and/or being retained: • Attend Engage 360 • After school tutoring • Ask for help from your teachers. • Students who are failing the eighth grade will not be allowed to participate in any eighth grade promotion activities.

Santa Ana Unified School District High School Open Enrollment Open enrollment will be offered at: • Century High School • Saddleback High School • Valley High School Procedure: • Obtain an Intradistrict Transfer form from Lathrop, Ms. Rangel. • Complete and return form to Lathrop, Ms. Rangel, no later than February 27, 2015 by 4:00 P.M. • The High School of your choice will inform you if your request for a transfer has been accepted • Transfers submitted after February 27, 2015 will be placed on a waiting list.

Santa Ana Unified School District Fundamental High School Priority Enrollment • Priority Enrollment: January 20 through January 27, 2015. • Godinez Fundamental High School • Sibling Priority – a sibling (brother or sister) currently attends Godinez FHS or Segerstrom HS • Segerstrom High School • Neighborhood Priority – residence in SHS attendance boundary • Sibling Priority – a sibling (brother or sister) currently attends Godinez FHS or Segerstrom HS • Completed priority enrollment packets must be returned no later than 4:00 PM on January 27, 2015 to school of choice.

Santa Ana Unified School District Fundamental High School Lottery Enrollment • Lottery enrollment will be through a random, computerized process. • Lottery applications must be picked up from the registrar at: • Segerstrom High School • Godinez Fundamental High School • Lottery applications available, January 28 through February 4, 2015. • Lottery results posted, Friday, February 6, 2015. • Lottery Enrollment Packets available, February 6 through 23, 2015. • Completed Lottery Enrollment Packets due no later than 4:00 pm, February 23, 2015.

  11. COLLEGE A-G REQUIREMENTS A. History/Social Science 2 Years One year of U. S. History or one-half year of American Government/Civics and one year of World History/Cultures/Geography. B. English 4 Years College Preparatory English C. Mathematics 3 Years(4 years recommended) Algebra and above D. Laboratory Science 2 Years(3 years recommended) Lab science in at least two of these three areas: Biology, Chemistry, or Physics E. Foreign Language 2 Years(3 years recommended) Two years of the same language F. Visual and Performing Arts 1 Year Dance, Drama/Theater, Music, and Visual Arts G. College Preparatory Elective 1 Year One additional year chosen from the above A-F subject areas.

California Colleges and Universities California Community Colleges (CCC) • 110 Campuses – Santa Ana College, Orange Coast College • Must be 18 years of age or be a high school graduate to attend. • High school students can enroll under special arrangement to earn college or high school credit • Offers Associate Degrees and Certificate Programs. • Choose to attend for 2 years and then transfer to a 4 year college or university. • $20 per unit, financial aid is available. • www.californiacolleges.edu California State University (CSU) • 23 campuses, CSU Fullerton, CSU Long Beach, CSU Dominguez Hills • ACT or SAT required for students w/G.P.A. under 3.00 • Offers Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctoral degrees. • $3451 per year, financial aid is available • www.csumentor.edu
