Designing a Coastal Pavilion: The “Living in Ocean and Coast” Theme for USA 2012

Our client, the USA 2012 pavilion team, tasked us with creating a pavilion themed “Living in Ocean and Coast.” The students took on the role of architects, designing a structure inspired by oceanic life. Our design features a two-story pavilion shaped like a dolphin fin with arcs defining its form. The entrance showcases a wave-pattern design, while the back includes a skylight for natural illumination. Inside, the flooring resembles ocean waves, and side views incorporate bubble motifs. This project celebrates the connection between architecture and marine environments.
