In your groups… • Go over your reading guides • Discuss as a group the answers to your 2 questions on your reading guide • Share your ideas for question #6 • Then, on a separate piece of paper (one per group, make sure ALL names are on it), brainstorm ideas for performing your passage. You can act it out, perform a song, do a news broadcast, or a different creative performance. Don’t just come up and read it!

I am Kindra Wilson, touting a terrific teacher-talent, A splendid super-server, gliding and sliding Through the finest of all dining rooms. Simultaneously a student, studious, steadfast, sure, Grasping glory gladly and gratefully. One of the Wilsons, wily, wacky, and wonderfully weird, That fearsome family filled with filial fondness. I say “Let me be something every minute of every day of my life…And when I am sleeping, let me dream every minute so that no bit of living is ever lost” Carpe diem and carpe noctem, fight for freedom and never knock ‘em Those who offend or reprehend or condescend may need a friend And I’ll be there to offer care, and for my share, none can compare To the friend I’ll be, and they will see, from sea to sea, there’s only me Who can do what I do, so fearless and true, I present myself humbly in service to you.
