  3. The Three ‘R’s • Research – audience needs • Rehearse – practice helps • Respond – real time questions

  4. Some Tips (Exercise Three) • Work out a way to ‘talk down’ your nerves • Speak slowly and clearly • Think about the level of detail the other person needs • Rehearse with props • Give the other person time to speak • Listen and ask questions • Get feedback from those you trust • Anticipate questions

  5. Summary of Key Learning • Can I describe what I do in a ‘value add way’? • Am I clear about my customers and their needs? • Do I research enough? • Do I rehearse enough? Feedback? • How am I at responding real time to others?
