  3. He still went forward He went toward His goal He continued on His journey

  4. Heb. 11:8-10 - Abraham faced... the unknown, alienation, leaving his family, leaving home security

  5. He still went forward He went toward His goal He continued on His journey

  6. Acts 9:15-16 - Saul faced... rejection, stoning, beatings, shipwrecks, weary travels, & desertion

  7. He still went forward He went toward His goal He continued on His journey

  8. Acts 17:22-31 - The message to Gentiles • There IS ONE great awesome God of creation • He has intended that men should seek Him • Men fall short of His will & need to repent • Because judgment day IS coming

  9. “And inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once and after this comes judgment.” Heb. 9:27

  10. Facing God is the most important moment of your immortal life

  11. “For he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God. Heb. 11:10

  12. Moving into that city with foundations built by God is one’s highest goal And we MUST have faith to reach that goal. Heb. 11:6

  13. “For you have been called for this purpose, since Christ also suffered for you, leaving you an example for you to follow in His steps.” 1 Pet. 2:21

  14. We MUST follow our example and “Journey On” CHRIST

  15. If you’re a non-believer… If you’re a believer… If you’re a Christian... YOU ARE ON A JOURNEY, WHERE ARE YOU GOING?

  16. What Are You Facing On Your Journey? Rejection by parents Rejection by friends Rejection by spouse Rejection by co-workers

  17. “And in all this, they are surprised that you do not run with them into the same excess of dissipation, and they malign you.” 1 Pet. 4:4 YOU MUST JOURNEY ON

  18. What Are You Facing On Your Journey? I’ll lose my church family I’ll lose my religious security I’m facing an unknown faith

  19. “But He answered the one who was telling Him and said, ‘Who is My mother and who are My brothers?’ And stretching out His hand toward His disciples, He said, ‘Behold, My mother and My brothers!’” Mt. 12:48-49

  20. “Jesus said, ‘Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or farms, for My sake and for the gospel’s sake, but that he shall receive a hundred times as much now in the present age... and in the age to come, eternal life.’” Mk. 10:29-30

  22. What Are You Facing On Your Journey? I’ll be expected to go into uncomfortable areas …to volunteer To find my ability and use it …to lead or to follow

  23. “So we, who are many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another. And since we have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us, let each exercise them accordingly: if prophecy, according to the proportion of his faith;” Rom. 12:5-6

  24. “If service, in his serving; or he who teaches, in his teaching; or he who exhorts, in his exhortation; he who gives, with liberality; he who leads, with diligence; he who shows mercy, with cheerfulness.” Rom. 12:7-8

  25. “Be devoted to one another in brotherly love; give preference to one another in honor; not lagging behind in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; rejoicing in hope, persevering in tribulation, devoted to prayer, contributing to the needs of the saints, practicing hospitality.” Rom. 12:10-13

  26. YOU MUST JOURNEY ON This is called “obedience”

  27. What Are You Facing On Your Journey? I must learn how to grow I must learn to be a teacher I must learn to seek God

  28. YOU MUST JOURNEY ON This is called “fellowship”

  29. Jesus Journeyed On... Abraham did Paul did Every saint does, WHAT’S STOPPING YOU?
