  2. Uses for nuclear and wind energy ∙ most well known by people is the fire power which is the nuclear bombs. ∙can be generated to fuel a submarine ∙can be used for giving batteries energy ∙may be used to treat cancer and heart disease with small amounts of radioactivity ∙was used to power space crafts ∙can be used to power cargo ships ∙wind energy can be used for water pumps without pollution ∙wind energy has been used to fuel cars from electricity ∙ wind energy is needed for many sports like kiting ∙wind energy can be used to power a generator for electricity replacing batteries Nuclear Wind

  3. Important Details for Nuclear energy • Nuclear energy is created by fission which is a process when nuclei or radioactive atoms release energy that can be used for electricity. There is also a process called fusion in which you join two nuclei to also create electrical energy. • It is nonrenewable because it is created in a lab by non-natural events. • It was founded accidently in a lab in 1896 by Enrico Fermi.

  4. Important details for wind energy • Wind energy is mainly used to power machines through electricity • Wind energy is renewable because it is powered through the sun. • Wind power was first used in 1978 for powering generators

  5. Advantages and disadvantages for nuclear energy • It can provide alternate sources of energy. • If using fusion there are few dangerous wastes. • Generates a large amount of energy • Fusion happens naturally to the sun. • Helps keep the air clean and prevents acid rain. • Nuclear power plants release radioactive wastes that has to be stored until radioactivity is dropped • If using fusion you must use very high temperatures to work. • If cooling system breaks radiation can be released. • If using fusion you can not use it on any earth environment. • No item has ever with standed fusion EVER. Advantages Disadvantages

  6. Advantages and disadvantages of wind energy • Wind energy is renewable • Does not cause pollution. • Does not affect animals and their habitats • Does not take hard labor or a lot of human work • Can inspire new electric fuel which is good for the environment • Sometimes the wind isn't strong enough to power turbines. • Is very expensive. • Needs a lot of wind energy to work. • The process takes a long time to get power from the sun. • Can hurt job options for manufacturing. Advantages Disadvantages
