  1. THE APACHE TRIBE BY: Aryana Ananth

  2. CLOTHING Their clothes are made of buffalo skin and feathers. They also wore feathered headpieces, painted their faces, And they had long hair.

  3. HOUSING Apache people housing. The first house was the eastern apache groups they made their houses out of wooden poles and buffalo hides. Also the eastern made homes called wikiups they were made of buffalo hides and looked like cone shaped houses.

  4. DIET Apache people eat these things: Buffalo Fish Deer Antelope Corn Squash Beans and other wild plants Women and their children hunt for rabbit. They drink deer blood for good health. Their tribes sometimes trade food. The women would do all the work like cooking, taking care of the home and family, cleaning and farming.

  5. EVERYDAY LIFE The apache family's live in family clusters. When the men leave to get married the men's family stay behind and then the men get married and build a separate unit for their own family to start. When the men left to go hunting the women would take care of the home and their children. When the men come back the women would take care of them to.

  6. LEADERSHIP The war chief is the leader of each tribe. A strong man from the tribe would be elected by a group of men in a council.

  7. BELIEFS Apache beliefs and customs are passed down from generation from generation to honor their ancestors. They belief that when a person dies, their sprit stays with the tribe to help provide and protect the people. They belief in good and evil with everything.

  8. CHANGE After the European exploration life did change for the apache Indians. They were affected by slavery and war that pushed the apache people out of their lands. Disease came and killed some apache Indians fast.

  9. CHANGE Before European Exploration: great hunters, productive farmers, not educated, traded over large lands with other tribes, not Christians, here thousands of years before exploration. After the European exploration: disease, killed 90% of the American Indians tribes, new trade, slavery, eventually pushed the native people out of their lands

  10. PIECES OF ART I learn from this piece of art that the men like to hunt and that the apache people did not just have to go to the store and get their food they actually had to hunt. The second picture I learned that they had to make their things by hand and now we can have a choice go to the store and get your things or make them but they did not get have a choice.
