  3. invention Thomas Edison was not the first to conceive the idea of the motion picture. It was first patented by William Lincoln in 1867.called the “zoopraxiscope”, it did not make it to market. later in 1891 Edison successfully proposed his idea of the kinetoscope, then improved this idea in 1896, which became the first commercially successful projector in the united states. video camera (vitascope)

  4. Purpose The purpose of Thomas Edison's vitascope was to improve the field of the motion picture and to put it into the public for commercial use

  5. Benefits The public benefited from this invention because it started a new field of entertainment that was a revolutionary step in the world of photography.

  6. Edison is my favorite inventor because he invented many of the things we use in our everyday lives such as: the light bulb, the office chair, and the projector camera.
