Westnet holds bi-annual meetings that include technical presentations from members and vendors. Westnet provides powereful political and technical contacts with universities that share common concerns. The current Westnet participants include University of Colorado - Boulder, University Colorado - Denver, Colorado State University, University of Wyoming, University of Utah, Utah State University, Colorado School of Mines, University of Arizona, Arizona State University, University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, Idaho State University, Denver University, South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, New Mexico Technet, Boise State University, and the National Center for Atmospheric Research (NCAR)
