  1. Why teach pdhpe in the primary school curriculum? All children have a right to abroad and balanced education. The teaching of all key learning areas is crucial.

  2. In our society there is a rapid awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. • A healthy lifestyle is achieving and maintaining mental, physical, social and spiritual wellbeing.

  3. PDHPE WILL PROVIDE OPPORTUNITIES FOR STUDENTS TO LEARN, PRACTICE AND REFINE THEIR SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND VALUES THUS PROVIDING A SOLID FOUNDATION FOR FURTHER EDUCATION AND EFFECTIVE PARTICIPATION IN SOCIETY.

  4. PDHPE is directly concerned with supporting the development of the student as a whole person.
