Dough • Original Recipe Yield 1 pizza • Ingredients • 3 cups all-purpose flour • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil • 1 teaspoon salt • 1 tablespoon white sugar • 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C) • Directions • Combine flour, salt, sugar, and yeast in a large bowl. Mix in oil and warm water. Spread out on a large pizza pan. Top as desired. • Bake at 375 degrees C (190 degrees C) for 20 to 25 minutes.

Sauce • Original Recipe Yield 2 3/4 cups (4 pizzas) • Ingredients • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce • 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste • 1 tablespoon ground oregano • 1 1/2 teaspoons dried minced garlic • 1 teaspoon ground paprika • Directions • In a medium bowl, Mix together tomato sauce and tomato paste until smooth. Stir in oregano, garlic and paprika.

  4. Margherita Pizza • Toss sliced white mushrooms in 1 tablespoon of the olive oil; set aside. Heat remaining oil and sauté onions until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Spread sautéed onions over bottom of pizza shell. Layer cheese, beef and reserved mushrooms over onions. Bake at 450 degrees F. for about 12 minutes until crust browns and cheese melts. Sprinkle with chopped pepper. Cut into 8 slices. • Pizza Margherita • Ingredients • 1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil, divided • 6 very thin tomato slices • 3 ounces buffalo mozzarella, cut into small pieces • 3 tablespoons torn fresh basil • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

  5. Margherita Pizza • Preparation • 1. Position an oven rack in the lowest setting. Place a pizza stone on the lowest oven rack. • 2. Preheat oven to 500°. Preheat pizza stone 30 minutes before baking pizza. • 3. Gently brush 1/2 teaspoon oil over Basic Pizza Dough. Pat tomato slices with a paper towel. Arrange cheese over dough, leaving a 1/2-inch border. Top with tomato slices. Slide dough onto preheated pizza stone, using a spatula as a guide. • 4. Bake at 500° for 9 minutes or until crust is golden. Remove from pizza stone. Drizzle with remaining 1/2 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil. Sprinkle with basil, salt, and black pepper. Cut into 8 wedges.

  6. Pepperoni Pizza • Ingredients • 2 cups thinly sliced cremini or button mushrooms (about 4 ounces)2 Tbsp. stoneground cornmeal2 tsp olive oil1 1/2 cups (6 ounces) shredded part-skim mozzarella cheese2 Tbsp grated fresh Parmesan cheese2 ounces sliced pepperoni

  7. Pepperoni Pizza • 1. Position oven rack in the middle setting. Position another rack in the lowest setting, and place a rimless baking sheet (or pizza stone) on the bottom rack. Preheat oven to 500°. • 2. Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat pan with cooking spray. Add sliced mushrooms to pan, and sauté for 5 minutes or until moisture evaporates. Mop up any excess moisture with a paper towel. • 3. Roll out pizza dough on a lightly floured surface, sprinkle cornmeal on a rimless baking sheet and place the pizza dough on the baking sheet for a few minutes to rest. Brush the rested dough with olive oil. Remove preheated baking sheet from oven; close oven door. Slide dough onto preheated baking sheet, using a spatula as a guide. Bake on lowest oven rack at 500° for 8 minutes. Remove from oven. • 4. Spread pizza sauce in an even layer over crust, leaving a 1/4-inch border. Top sauce with mushrooms. Sprinkle mushrooms evenly with mozzarella and Parmesan. Arrange pepperoni in an even layer on top of cheese. Bake on middle rack an additional 10 minutes or until crust is golden brown and cheese melts. Cut into 8 wedges. • Yield: One pizza- 8 slices

Philly Cheese Steak Pizza • Recipe Ingredients • 6 oz. sliced onions • 2 Tbsp. olive oil • 8 oz. sliced white mushrooms • 6 oz. mozzarella cheese • 4 oz. roast beef • DIRECTIONS • Toss sliced white mushrooms in 1 tablespoon of the olive oil; set aside. Heat remaining oil and sauté onions until lightly browned, about 5 minutes. Spread sautéed onions over bottom of pizza shell. Layer cheese, beef and reserved mushrooms over onions. Bake at 450 degrees F. for about 12 minutes until crust browns and cheese melts. Sprinkle with chopped pepper. Cut into 8 slices.
