  2. Emily statemented aged 2. Attended Park Lane Special School part time as well as mainstream nursery and pre-school. • Started at Lower Park School in Poynton in reception class 2008 full time. • Initially Emily had 32.5 hours support. This was increased to 40 hours in 2010 – additional time for teachers to differentiate for Emily and prepare resources etc. • Input from physio/ SALT/OT

  3. Annual statement review April 2011. • Head teacher said school was unable to meet Emily’s needs. They had tried everything and could not include her. They said she was regressing at school and was not happy. • Educational psychologist went in to school following this meeting, as did Joe Whittaker and KennJupp and offered school bespoke complementary training.

  4. 16th August 2011 Sue Tompkins and Pam Robertson from LA visited us at home. Head teacher had finally said he did not want Emily in school full time, would consider a couple of afternoons a week. • He felt Educational Pyschologists report was biased towards us, and he was not happy to accept training from Joe and Kenn. • Sue and Pam asked us to consider other mainstream schools. “All schools have a different ethos.”

  5. Both children happy at Lower Park, so we refused to look at other schools. LA and school fully aware that we would never send Emily to special school again. • October 2nd, Proposed amended statement arrived naming Park Lane Special School in part 4. • Final version arrived a few days later, before our reply could have been acknowledged. • We would have had to go to tribunal to keep Emily at Lower Park with her brother and friends. • Deregistered both children 4th October 2011.
